Internet!
I figured it out. I know why I'm not married. I was probably supposed to marry someone who died tragically on the Titanic! That explains so much right??
I went and saw Titanic in 3-D! Wow! I would have to say better than the original! Like when the guy jumps off the boat and hits the propeller, you feel like YOU hit the propeller! And young Leonardo DiCaprio is just downright dreamy.

In A Relationship!
Hi Internet!
Life has been pretty busy. I've been pretty preoccupied with my newest relationship.
Yep.
You read that correctly, I am in a pretty serious relationship with a certain fella.
He's a lawyer.
He's smart.
He's funny.
He's a snappy dresser.
AND he's wealthy.
Internet, may I present to you....
Captain Matthew Crawley. Dreamy huh?
He's currently in a wheel chair due to a shrapnel wound, but I have high hopes he'll be walking next week. Oh, did I neglect to say that he's a character on my new favorite show Downton Abbey?
Confession. Not a real person. Not my boyfriend*.
That said, if the captain asked me out, I wouldn't turn him down like SOME people.... cough, Lady Mary, cough! (Don't get me wrong I LOVE Mary, but I REALLY want her to get over herself and just marry Matthew already!)
Have you seen Downton?? I LOVE it!!!
When it came up on my Netflix I was like meh, and it took me a few minutes, but then I got into it.
It's like a cross between Pride and Prejudice, Anne of Green Gables and the Sopranos.
And the best part, WAY clean!
You HAVE to watch** it!!!!
What are you waiting for??? Go watch!
*I have no immediate prospects of a boyfriend. It would be more likely for Captain Crawley to jump in the future 100 years and ask me out than someone here. haha :)
**Season 1 is free on Netflix and Season 2 is free on PBS

That's My Story and I'm Stickin' To It
Hi Internet,
So, yeah I fully have a paper due in an hour, but I needed to tell you that I saw The Help. It is cute. But as the saying goes, the book is better. So, don't you DARE go see that movie until you've read the book.
Mmmkay? Good.
Now to type my geography final. I cannot WAIT until 9:50 tomorrow morning.

It's Birth-WEEK Time!
Happy Birth-Week Internet!
*I worked on the Progress Reports.
So, guess how I celebrated the upcoming celebration of my birth? Well, I will tell you!
*I woke up and ate breakfast.
*I went to Kindergarten.
I guess the kids have been SOOOO excited about my birthday. They all have been telling the secretaries every time they walk past the office "It's Teacher Krystal's birthday on Saturday! But we're going to sing to her on Thursday, but it's her Birthday, and we're going to have a party, and eat cupcakes, but her Birthday's not REALLY until Saturday, but this is when we're celebrating it." Haha! The secretaries teased me about it all day.
*I got Beautiful flowers from my Co-Teachers
*I got this fantastic card from my kiddos. Awwww!
![]() |
| Front of Card. Pretty good considering that her mom AKA "Super Mom" is out of town and she probably did this on her own with help from dad or an older sibling. |
![]() |
| Inside: "I Love you Krystal You are the best! (Picture of a heart, Picture of Abby and Picture of me.) Then she let the other kids in our class sign the card. :) |
![]() | |
| Back: More class signatures, "I Love, Abigail" Hahahaha! I LOVE it! |
*We sang Happy Birthday, had cupcakes and played Head's up 7-up.
Funny story about the cupcakes.... When Teacher Em brought the flowers and the cupcakes in the kids were at library, so they didn't know who brought the cupcakes, I just assumed they knew it was one of the teachers. Well, my mom works at the same school I do, so when we were going to lunch all the kids in the class kept telling her "Thanks for the cupcakes!" My mom was confused, like what cupcakes? I busted up laughing, because when it is their birthday their moms bring in a treat, so they assumed because it was MY birthday my mom must have sent the cupcakes. Haha!
*I worked on the Progress Reports.
And Then........
*I went to the movies. ALL BY MYSELF to see Gnomeo and Juliet!
It was great! There weren't many people there and no one judged me. I think I could do it again.
(But I will pass on the slushie that I got cause: A. it cost a billion dollars and B. It tasted Gross.)
*Then I came home, played with my cousin Hannah.
*Talked to some good friends on the phone
*Spent some quality time on the treadmill.
The End.
Tomorrow's Green Eggs and Ham Day in Kindergarten... Should be good!

Movie Review: Little Women
Happy Weekend Internet!
Tonight, I decided to watch an oldie but a goodie! Yes, my fall back lady movie, Little Women! The 1994, Susan Sarandon, Winona Ryder version. Ahhh. Memories.

I remember the year we got it for Christmas and my cousins and I probably watched it 20 times that week. We used to assign each other characters to be.
:) EVERYONE wanted to be strong, independent Jo... but alas, only one of us could be Jo. Melissa, since she was the oldest, USUALLY got to be Jo, and that suited her. :) And if you couldn't be Jo, the second best was Amy, because Amy ends up with Laurie! ;) No one wanted to be Beth, cause she dies, and since Dani played the piano, she usually got stuck being Beth. And I usually picked Meg cause she has twins and I always thought that would be fun! (In hindsight, I guess Melissa should have picked Meg! haha)
I just love this movie! COMPLETELY appropriate for all ages, and fun, and heartwarming. I was watching tonight and was particularly struck by a conversation Marmee has with Jo. She's just refused a marriage proposal from Laurie and been told she can't go to Europe with the Crabby old Spinster Aunt, and fears she'll never fit in anywhere and Marmee, in her infinite wisdom tells her:

"Oh, Jo. Jo, you have so many extraordinary gifts; how can you expect to lead an ordinary life? You're ready to go out and - and find a good use for your talent. Tho' I don't know what I shall do without my Jo. Go, and embrace your liberty. And see what wonderful things come of it."
Which got me to thinking. All my life I've felt bad cause I wasn't like everyone else, I tried to be "normal," when what I need to do is recognize that I have amazing talents and I don't have to have a "normal life" I should live an extraordinary life!
Thanks Marmee for this timely life lesson!
If you haven't seen it, you MUST watch Little Women!

Movie Review: Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging
Ok Internet, so this movie doesn't come out on DVD until Jan 19, but if you're looking for a fun, feel good, chick flick...
Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging needs to be in your Netflix queue!
Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging needs to be in your Netflix queue!

Now don't be turned off by the title.
This is a cross between Harry Potter (sans wizards and magic, haha) and Mean Girls (But INFINITELY cleaner). And it's set in the UK, so they all have accents, which, I think makes it just a little more fun!
The movie is about Georgia. She has two main goals in life:

1. Find a boyfriend to Snog*.
2. Throw the best 15th birthday party ever.
(You can see where this is going.... I can tell ;) )
Enter.... the solution to goal #1, brothers Tom and Robbie. Add to the mix her arch rival Lindsey, family situations, typical boy crazy teenager shenanigans, and ups and downs.
And you have, in my opinion, a pretty cute flick! I laughed out loud a few times, (ESPECIALLY during her snogging lesson, Buwahahaha!) and the movie was relatively clean. (I did watch it on TV, so it may have been edited) I recommend Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging to just about any lady who wants a movie to watch with her besties!
Oh, and the best part... the girl who's never snogged gets a fella! Juuust saying!
Happy Watching!
*For those of you who are confused, Snogging British for what we Americans like to call Making Out/Kissing.
