One of the Reasons I lOVE Ross!

Hi Internet,

So, the other day I was out running errands and I made a stop at Ross. I LOVE Ross. You never know what you'll find there. But, I was browsing and I found this... for $3.99!

I was immediately drawn to the book for a few reasons:

A. The cover is pretty adorable.
B. I love cookbooks, especially dirt cheap ones.
C. I had heard about this book on TV and thought it sounded interesting and the author is married to Jerry Seinfeld, and I love Seinfeld.

SO, I bought it, I've read through it and LOVE it! The whole premise of the book is to add fruits and vegetables into foods your family eats. (Particularly directed to kids, but totally applies to adults.) Which really made me think that I could SO do this. As many of you know I love to cook, and there's no reason I can't add fruit/vegetable puree to most anything!

So, when my life slows down... I'll let you know if I have any success!

Did I Miss Something Here????

Hi Internet,

So, last week my cousin and I were out shopping and we were about to check out and overheard/became part of the following conversation.

2 teenage girl employees talk to one another as a pregnant woman leaves the store...

Girl 1: I am so afraid of being pregnant!

Girl 2: Oh, it's not so bad, I mean at first it's weird, but you get used to it.

Girl 1: I know, but it's like I don't want that to happen.

Me: Well, you do realize that getting pregnant is 100% preventable????

Girl 1: Oh, I mean yeah, but you know?

Sheesh.

I wish these girls would realize what an amazing opportunity motherhood is when the time is right!

That is all I will say about that today.

To the TV Networks

Internet,

I have a dilemma. Well, a few actually. But this is one that's driving me crazy right about now.

Dear TV Network production people,

Why must all my favorite TV shows be on at the day and different channels? Can't we spread the wealth? What about Monday and Wednesday? I love TiVo... but it's still hard to get caught up. I mean how can I watch Biggest Looser and Glee at the same time and then I have to watch Parenthood. Move Glee back to Wednesday. Too much for one day.

Thanks,
Me

455 Days

Hi Internet,

So remember how a little over a year ago my life was all sorts of upside down? Well, I feel like I'm in a similar place. Today I was released from my responsibilities as Relief Society President at church. It's been a bittersweet feeling, knowing that I no longer have the responsibility, and at the same time feeling sad that I won't be serving my friends in the same capacity.

When I was first called to serve in Relief Society I remember feeling overwhelmed. I would be up all night worried about the sisters in our branch. I remember having this immense feeling of love for each girl. I knew that Heavenly Father was aware of each sister, he knew her name, he knew her abilities and her struggles. For 455 days I feel like I was blessed to be able to see them as Heavenly Father does.

I am eternally grateful I had the opportunity to love and serve in Relief Society.
